The Lighting Research and Innovation Centre brings together expertise in lighting design, urban planning, and engineering to develop innovative solutions for social and commercial benefits and to enhance innovation capacity to drive economic growth, improve quality of life, and safeguard the environment. The center specializes in smart lighting, i.e., time-based lighting for energy efficiency and quality lighting, lighting for health and well-being, and urban lighting.

The Text Analysis Research Group or TARG conducts research within the areas of corpus linguistics, text linguistics and discourse analysis.
