The Perovskite Materials Research Group conducts comprehensive research on perovskite materials to support the advancement of solar technologies in Thailand. Their primary objective is to design perovskite solar cells tailored to Thailand’s tropical climate. The Sustainable Polymer & Innovative Composite Materials Research Group conducts research on polymer and composite materials to support a wide range of industrial applications. The group specializes in the development of natural deep eutectic solvents for bioactive extraction from plant biomass, extraction and valorization of lignin and cellulose from biomass (such as garlic skin, rice straw, and water hyacinth) for biomaterial development, development and improvement of composite materials from biopolymers and plant extracts for industrial applications, and applications of biopolymers and plant extracts in products such as transdermal drug delivery systems and tires, as well as in industries such as military, medicine and engineering.

The Advanced Machining Laboratory aims to research, develop, and innovate advanced laser machining and hybrid machining processes to improve processing performance and lower machining costs for difficult-to-cut materials, micro/nano-scale components, and expensive parts. Their research scope includes laser micromachining processes, heat and mass transfer in laser material processing, mechanics of machining, hybrid machining technology, and advanced machining processes such as electrochemical machining, waterjet cutting, and EDM processes.
