Technology Overview
CARVER-Mini is an autonomous mobile robot platform. It consists of two parts: CARVER-AMR, an autonomous mobile robot, and a customizable multi-tier tray. Based on an autonomous mobile robot system, CARVER-Mini has been customized to meet the specific requirements of hospital environments, particularly in delivering meals and medications to patients. By reducing the frequency of human interaction in high-risk areas, CARVER-Mini ensures the safety of both patients and healthcare professionals.
Created with the funding of Asahi-Thai Alloy Company Limited, CARVER is designed to support hospital logistics and is part of “Mod Boriraksa” series of robots developed to assist medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic.
CARVER-Mini has been implemented in multiple healthcare facilities, such as Princess Mother National Institute on Drug Abuse Treatment in Pathum Thani, Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute in Samut Prakan, Takua Pa Hospital in Phang Nga and Bussarakham Field Hospital in Nonthaburi.
